    • While true, McLaren are simply avoiding possible lawsuits. Can it be repaired? yes. Will it be as good as an undamaged one? nope. Simply put they see that damage and assume there is more, fractures and cracks throughout and would probably refuse on those grounds alone just in case they are there. I'm assuming tavarish has checked the rest of it.....for such cracks hiding and waiting to fail.

  • Gidday from Australia . The way we repaired the back of the tube is wrong I could see he only put fiberglass over the crack you can still see the crack , he should grind out the crack and lay strands of fiberglass to fill the crack then lay fiberglass over the crack , I do this for a living if you do if do it right first time .

  • I have a friend who works for mclaren...I showed them this video and they literally laughed at him and the video. They said the EEtvsr attempting to "half-ass" these car projects to save money was comical and dangerous. If you can not afford to send your car to a CERTIFIED manufacturer mechanic then you cant afford the car. No offense....if you have to do all of this work just to get a "cheap used exotic car"....then maybe you should not be driving a exotic car in the first place

    Brandon ClarkBrandon Clark4 місяці tagasi
  • Not every company says "no" just so they can charge you more by selling something new... .....McLaren really means "NO THIS CAN NOT BE PROFESSIONALLY DONE AND BACKED UP WITH WARRANTY." This EEtvsr does not understand that what he is doing by "repairing the frame himself" is actually a MAJOR safety issue. • It's a carbon fibre monoque frame. Those things are easier to fix than metal. You don't need welding, just a fibre mesh, resim and a vacuum chamber. They're being giant cucks by the way. F1 and even sports car series get their bumpers, wings ect fixed regularly by removing the damaged fibre and laminating new layers.
